The work of artist Anant Nikam resonates with a quiet cognisance of the known and the experienced, while attempting to look beyond it. A known ritual like a neural pathway, has a purpose much larger that the ritual itself; exactly as a known imagery has a radiance and reach far beyond the visible. 

 

Anant Nikam believes that this is the true awareness and purpose of faith. The purpose is to become better human beings and blend one's own memories and experiences for the betterment of the Self and the society as a whole.

 

In the works, memories intermingle with experiences and hang like ripened fruits from the Tree of Life, building an image of the mystical, nearly inscrutable bigger picture.
